Hayley Loveless
I have been a Pedigree Duroc breeder since childhood, beginning alongside my father, who kept Pedigree Large White and Landrace pigs. Wanting a different path, I fell in love with the Duroc breed and now run a small herd with four bloodlines. I am working with another breeder to preserve the last Torntofte line and promote the breed’s future. I admire the Duroc’s character, presence in the show ring, and excellent meat qualities. I hope to encourage new breeders, support successful pig rearing, expand the gene pool, reduce inbreeding, and improve litter size and milk production to secure long-term breed progress.
Jan has been an active member of the BPA for a number of years now. Jan has always been passionate about promoting Durocs and in the years she has kept them the number of Durocs has grown considerably and this is in part due to Jan’s tireless support of the breed.

Lisa Hodgeson
Lisa has heavily promoted Mangalitzas and in spring 2020, during lockdown she reached out to breeders with an idea, it probably sounded mad at the time, but 7 breeders came back to her and said yes. The Great Manga Move was born. As well as spreading the genetics to save the bloodlines Lisa is vocal in the need to be stringent on the pigs that are registered for breeding. Mangalitza’s only have a small genepool so it is so important that the genepool is strong. .

Tracey Bretherton
